Upon arrival at the camp, you will first set off on your snowmobiling adventure. We will provide you with warm winter clothing and the necessary snowmobile gear. After this, we will go through the safety instructions and give you a practical demonstration on how to drive a snowmobile. You don’t need any previous skills to drive a snowmobile, all you need is normal physical condition.
You will be driving in pairs, one driver and one passenger on each snowmobile, with the opportunity to switch places during the trip. The tour will take you past scenic mountains, through the snow-covered Finn valley, starting at 250m above sea level. You will be on this snowmobiling adventure for approximately 2 hours, depending on the weather and snow conditions.
TROMSØ ICE DOMES
After the snowmobiling activity, we will serve lunch and your tour will continue with a guided tour at the Ice Domes.
We will serve a complimentary traditional Norwegian soup/stew. The main ingredients are vegetables with meat or fish. We serve bread, coffee, tea and water with the meal. A non-alcoholic ice shot at the stunning ice bar is complementary. You will also be able to purchase other drinks, which will be served in the ice restaurant or ice bar.
Vegetarian food can be provided if notice is given upon booking. Please advise us in advance of any food allergies or dietary restrictions: we will provide an alternative option. If no notice is given in advance an extra fee of 150 NOK will be charged.
During the guided tour at the Ice Domes you get to marvel at the incredible ice sculptures and snow carvings, learn about the construction process of the domes and the impact the snow has for all life in the Arctic. As part of this combination tour, there will be some free time to walk around by yourself and visit the reindeer that are herding next to the Ice Domes. Eventually, your daytime adventure has come to an end and it will be time to board the bus back to Tromsø city center.
